Children at Christmas

It is the most beautiful time of the year

Children are jumping for joy

For Christmas is near

There will be Christmas cards to send

To family and friends

Presents to wrap with pretty paper

And greetings to extend to our neighbours

The Christmas tree has lights of all colours

Though we come from different backgrounds,

The coloured lights remind me that we are all brothers

For Christmas unites every boy and girl

Indeed the yuletide season makes this, such a beautiful world

The lights glow in every city in December

Christmas comes around during this period

And kids find 25th December a date so easy to remember

Children are part of the Christmas joy

I love to see the _expression on their faces

When mummy and daddy gives them their favourite toys

The Christmas feast will bring the family together in the kitchen

There the kids will tuck in on mummy’s baked potatoes, pie, lamb and chicken

Merry Christmas to the children of this universe

Kids, sing the Christmas carols as mummy and daddy guide you through the songs,
