Happy Father's Day
Remember when you took me fishing and I was
afraid to put the worm on the hook?

You saw me with a grimace on my face and said
that's an awfully funny look.

Dad, I know  it's silly, after all it is only a worm,
but I find it hard to look at it while it wriggles
and jiggles and squirms.

It is alright daughter, I felt the same way when I
was your age and squeamish about worms.

Every living thing makes a sacrifice for others in
their turn.

I remember your words fondly and later realized
just what you meant.

I know you sacrificed things as my Father  and I
know you were heaven sent.

Thanks Dad for all the times you were there for
me and all the fond memories.
